Description
“Mansfield Park” follows the life of Fanny Price, a young girl from a poor family who is sent to live with her wealthy relatives, the Bertrams, at their estate called Mansfield Park. Fanny’s experiences at Mansfield Park provide a keen commentary on social class, morality, and the expectations placed on women during the Regency era.
As Fanny grows up in the Bertram household, she observes and navigates the dynamics between the family members, including the vivacious but morally ambiguous Crawford siblings. The novel delves into themes of love, marriage, and the societal expectations that shape individual choices.
